Multilingual practice
Practise in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam; how language mirroring and detection work.
Most of the world does not sell in English, and a buyer who only speaks it is a poor rehearsal for a call that will not. Revyn Voice can run on a bilingual engine that speaks the language you speak.
#Availability
| Plan | Languages |
|---|---|
| Starter | English |
| Growth (India price book) | English, Hindi |
| Growth (elsewhere) | English |
| Elite | English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam |
| Custom | All of the above |
Availability is per plan, and in an org the manager decides whether the bilingual engine is on. It is off by default.
#Turning it on
- Org: Settings → AI → Practice voice engine. Enable the multilingual auto-detect pipeline for the whole org. Reps then simply speak; the buyer follows.
- Individual (Elite): the same switch lives under Settings → Connections → Practice voice engine.
#How mirroring works
The bilingual engine listens to the language you are actually speaking, turn by turn, and answers in it. Start in English and switch to Hindi mid-call; the buyer switches with you. Speak Tamil with English product terms mixed in, as most real calls do, and the buyer does the same.
Mirroring is decided by the script and vocabulary of what you said, not by the language you set before the call. Latin-script text is never assumed to be English.
#Language detection in the transcript
On multilingual calls, each of your turns in the transcript carries a small chip with the detected language and confidence. On an English-only call there is no chip; nothing is being detected.
#Scoring in other languages
Turn scores and MEDDPICC evidence work identically in every supported language. The framework engine reads the transcript in the language it was spoken; evidence is quoted in that language.
#Voices and gender
The buyer's voice matches the prospect profile, including gender, in every language. If a scenario specifies a female economic buyer, that is who answers, in Malayalam or in English.
#Known limits
- The bilingual engine adds a little latency compared with the English-only path; it is inside the range you would hear on a real mobile call.
- Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam are newer than Hindi. If the buyer's phrasing sounds off in a specific context, report it with ⌘⇧B from the call screen; the transcript comes with the report.
Tip
If you sell in English but your buyers open in Hindi, practise the switch. Open in Hindi and move to English when the buyer would; the engine follows you both ways.
